Board Member Biographies
Alice Cavanagh McCrea, President
Alice has her bachelor’s degree in theatre from
the University of Victoria where she graduated with distinction. Alice
has been a member of the Hilo Community Players for 2 years and has
directed a Children’s Theatre Workshop as well as produced
many shows.
Susie Yong, Vice-President
Susie Yong is a manager at Abundant Life Natural Foods. She is a
longtime Hilo resident, and a supporter of the Arts. She recently
served as Publicity Manager for Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Catherine McPherson
Catherine McPherson has
been involved with community theatre groups around the world from
Tokyo, Japan to Sydney, Australia, and has 20 years of theatrical experience. She holds a BA in Theatre
Communication Arts and a Masters in Education. Currently she earns her
living as vice-principal of Keaau High School.
